15 杜子美坟在耒阳，有碑其上。《唐史》言：至耒阳，以牛肉白酒，一夕醉饱而卒。然元微之作子美盖志曰：'扁舟下荆楚，竟以寓卒，旅殡岳阳。至其（子）〔孙〕嗣业始葬偃师首阳山。'当以墓志为正。盖子美自言晋当阳杜元凯之后，故世葬偃师首阳山。又子美父闲常为巩县令，故子美为巩县人。偃师首阳山在官路，其下古冢累累。而杜元凯墓犹载图经可考。其旁元凯子孙附葬者数十，但不知孰为子美墓耳。
